... on our roof terrace, a guys night really, with lotsa meat and lotsa beer and lotsa spicey chili and 6 IESE-guys telling jokes until 2am and kati deciding bed was a better option at about 12:30 ;)
Not to forget, Martin at the grill and the 2kg piece of meat from the market which Mattes was battling!

La Mercè and fiestas in general
Last week Barcelona celebrated la Mercè, a festival to celebrate the patron of the city. There are all kinds of free concerts and music and happiness all over. And they do free cava (sparkling wine from the region), free bread and free chocolate randomnly, so it's worth a strole ;-) Mattes will still add pictures of one of the highlights, the human pyramids which they build on the main day - we saw them go 8 people-stories high! Very cool stuff!
Besides la Mercè we did our share of partying in all kinds of locations - the most successful being La Terrrazza, an open-air club in the Poble Espanyol (a miniture spanish village on the top of one of the city hills, Montjuic) - they threw an amazing closing party for the end of the summer season on a Sunday, with people celebrating under palm trees, it was beautiful... FYI the guys on the pic with Mattes are Fish on the left, our electronic-music-and-Moog-friend and Martin, an IESE-second year, who is staying with us this week (and it's his bday on Wednesday, let's see what we get up to ;))
And then we did some other random partying, with lotsa nice people,
one of the nights portrayed led to the beach pics of Timo and Davide earlier, I believe ;-)

Mini-London-Trip
Beachvolleyball and la playa
Our goal is still to maximize time-spent-at-beach. So we bought a beachvolleyball net and have had some great afternoons with lotsa people at the beach! So here are some pics of that (here Marcel and Mattes in full action) and other general relaxation-post-party-activities (here Timo and Davide post mojitos) Oh, and not to forget Mattes' beautiful new vintage Vespa!
Nadine's visit
Hola all,
so we haven't posted for a while bc we've been reaaaally busy, but now some posts will follow to show you what we did with all our time ;-)
First of all, Nadine came to visit - She studied in Argentina with me (kati) back in the day and we've stayed in touch since, trying to visit oneanother at least once a year. Since Mattes was either busy with uni or off to Lyon on a little McK-trip, we girls had some fun!
We hung out at the beach
The IESE invited us to a wonderful night at the Club of the Liceu Opera - It is the only existing Club inside an Opera, has the most amazing rooms and furniture and wonderful pieces of Art Nouveau - great stuff! And wonderful to see everyone all dressed up :-)
And then we did our share of partying of course - After a joint green curry session with Lisa, Sebastian and Marcel joined us for some dance moves in the Apollo, where Modeselektor and Ellen Alien had a gig which was lotsa fun - even though the lady didn't live up to our expectations.
Nadine, wapa, espero que vuelvas pronto, nena!
Besitos, kati

Costa Brava Trip
Hola amigos!
We took a few days off and headed up to the beautiful Costa Brava! It was gorgeous, great weather, great food, lonely beaches, crystal clear water, nice sealife, slept 200m from the beach, etc... Loads of fun to stumble into the places I (kati) had been with Lori, Verena, Bille, Tini, Max and Achim in 2005 - shout out to them all!!! Here are some pics, more should follow from Mattes.
