What then really happened throughout most of February

Well, of course, as it was all looking so exciting and all, I became sick. Evil sick. It's been 10 days and I'm still not really well. So there went alot of the fun, Berlin was cool but only at 50% power (thx again Tess for having me over and joining in the shopping madness); basically missed out on the skiing trip to Andorra, spending 2 days in bed in the ugly hotel room, up on the slopes only to save myself from boredome; then an entire week without leaving the house... great. But self-pity sucks, so hurrah that I managed to get out of bed now that Viki came for the weekend and we had a great "Drei-Hasen-Treffen" incl. Julehase, with wonderful dinner and evening here in BCN, then a day in Sitges and olé! a super carneval's party in Sitges, where we were also joined by Mattes, Tina and Jan. Lotsa lotsa fun! Still stuck in bed recovering.
Oh, Mattes is having a good time, though :))) Lots to do at uni, lots of get-well-soup to make for me (and a super gulasch today), but otherwise happy happy and partying alot (incl. last night when he fell asleep leaning against me in a club... :)) But maybe he'll tell you more about that some other time.
Busy weeks coming up, symposium end of the week, then I'm off to Munich and Kitzbühl, then Sahil is coming... So time to get healthy again.

February preview

... I think February is going to be a great month - there are so many cool things happening! It started off great with Mattes' bday and we had another great weekend these past days, with our favorite Daaaav's bday and a lovely dinner at Gustavo's - yummy Mexican food! Even though everyone is busy busy with exams, there has been lots of time for sports and great dinners and kati is trying out tons of new receipes and loving it!
And what's coming up keeps hopes high for this being a super month: kati is spending half of the week in Berlin (some work, but also time to see Tess and enjoy the old home town), then we're in Andorra skiing for two days with the whole school, Viki's coming to visit us from Munich, there's Carneval in Sitges with us girls going in traditional Dirndl), Doing-Good-Doing-Well symposium is also around the corner, and a heap up fun dinners to looks forward to... Oh hurrah :)
And I promise we'll also find some time to study, somehow...:))

First week of February

Holas,

this week was a very average BCN-week... most of time spent at school, kati did alot of cooking and had people over to share soup and cakes with (trying to start food photography, but really need that new camera to get here to do that succesfully; please also note the yummy muffin-disaster), finally found time to get dinner with tina again, mattes did alot of studying and sport and on thursday it was BOW-time :) And now the weekend is coming and it seems to be funpacked, so I'm really looking forward to it. Also wanted to share a pic of the flowers Mattes got which are still blooming here in our appartment - beauuutiful :)

Mattes' 28th Bday

Cumpleanios Feliz! It was Mattes' birthday on Feb. 1st!

We were in Germany for the weekend and had some fun with the family and then a little party at Kasper's place with lots of very nice people, many ballons and much too much alcohol... When we got back to BCN on Sunday evening (so the evening of his bday) we had organized a surprise party and our IESE-crew (minus some people suffering from the evil flu - get better guys!) was hidden in our flat with (more) ballons, confetti, cake, beers, and lovely presents. It was fantastic guys - thank you!
I only have some pics of the party in Germany until now - Bruna took some (professional ;)) pics at the party here in BCN and I hope to upload them sometime later.
