IESE Event Placa del Rei and Drinks

So yesterday we had another IESE evening event (FYI: IESE is Mattes' business school). they invited us to see some Roman ruins after the museum had closed, which was cool, but the highlight was definately the cava (Spanish sparkling wine) session they invited us to afterwards.

We were enjoying the summer night so much, that we had some people come over and chill out on the roof terrace afterwards, which was very cool and we hope to see everyone back here again, soon! ah, on the pics you can see Mattes and Lenny (from Munich)[& Kati's shoes], Kati and Merissa (from the States and all over the place) and the rest of the crowd under the gazebo.

The third weekend

Hola,

even though Mattes was at uni for many hours on Saturday, we made the most of the weekend and enjoyed the sunshine (with kati still quite sick... sniff...)

Lotsa time was spent on the black moto, which is looooooaaads of fun!

We also spent lotsa time at the beeeeaaaach porsupuesto ;-) Mattes is being very good about swimming lots and lots and out into the deep ocean and kati is working just as hard on a tan which is a comin'.

And then we did our little piece of partying too, including a nice roof-top-terrace party at George's place, which has an entire kitchen on the rooftop, with a grand asador and all! The night ended with Mattes making sand-angels which was of course beautiful to watch ;-)

Hope you all had a good weekend, too!
It's a short week here now, with a "puente" (long weekend) and Thursday and Friday off, so we're gonna head out to the Costa Brava and do some exploring. Will keep you posted!

The beach

Lucky as we are, we can jump into the Mediterranean Sea every day and we try to do just that. So here are some very first beach-pics!
We bought a beach volley ball net by now, so I'm sure more will follow.

Our flat

Here are some first pics of our flat/our terrace/ views from our flat/terrace /fun in flat/on terrace...

....So we packed our bags and moved to Barcelona... :-)

Hello friends, family and all,

so we're actually in Barcelona now! And we've created this blog so that we can share our adventures in this beautiful city and beyond with you all.

We've been here over two weeks now but we're still settling in. There is so much to do! Getting the appartment set up (even though it was fully furnished we wanted to add some plants, pictures, decoration, etc.), creating our lounging area on the roof terrace (incl. Mattes climbing into building sites at 3am to get the wood needed to make all things beuatiful), checking out supermercados and mercados (so Kati can start planing new kati's culinary cooking festivals), getting inet installed and all kindsa other fun stuff.

Mattes started school already - even though it's only a Spanisch course so far they are keepig him there from 9am to 6pm, even on Saturdays... Evil! Nonetheless he's found the time to dive into the moto-market of BCN and is now the proud owner of a beautiful black Vespa - and I'm sure he'll tell you alot more about that ;-)

I (kati) have been enjoying some days off and focussing on getting my back back into place after that evil lumbago (during moving season por supuesto). Joined an ab fab fitness studio (Holme's Place) and am realizing the boundries of my physical abilities in my new Pilates, Yoga and Thai Chi clases. Am improving, at least I hope so.

We actually even already had our first vistors: Saskia and Philipp popped by for a few days and we had some great times bbqing on the roof terrace and discovering new corners of BCN. We weren't the perfect hosts as first Mattes was sick for 3 days and now I am sniffling around, but we believe they enjoyed themselves anyhow - Thanks for coming, guys!

So, that's all for an introduction for now, photos of all events, people and happiness shall follow...

Hasta lueguitooooo
