When was the last time you didnt have a European style toilet and hot water for 2 weeks in a row?
Or no telephone (neither mobile nor fixed line), no internet no meat no aircon, no fan, even no electricity during main parts of the day...
Well and last but not least no way to get out of there besides one public ferry per week which might or might not go...
We just came back from the Togean Islands, an archipelago in the North of Sulawesi, Indonesia.
What seems to be a nightmare at first, was actually (one of) the best part(s) of our journey. Lots of pictures to follow, of secluded beaches, prestine snorkelling and endless chilling...
For now I just want to say that we made it back safely and so far in time. We are in Manado right now, on our way to Melbourne via Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. If everything works out, we will be in Oz thursday morning...
