La Mercè and fiestas in general

Last week Barcelona celebrated la Mercè, a festival to celebrate the patron of the city. There are all kinds of free concerts and music and happiness all over. And they do free cava (sparkling wine from the region), free bread and free chocolate randomnly, so it's worth a strole ;-) Mattes will still add pictures of one of the highlights, the human pyramids which they build on the main day - we saw them go 8 people-stories high! Very cool stuff!

Besides la Mercè we did our share of partying in all kinds of locations - the most successful being La Terrrazza, an open-air club in the Poble Espanyol (a miniture spanish village on the top of one of the city hills, Montjuic) - they threw an amazing closing party for the end of the summer season on a Sunday, with people celebrating under palm trees, it was beautiful... FYI the guys on the pic with Mattes are Fish on the left, our electronic-music-and-Moog-friend and Martin, an IESE-second year, who is staying with us this week (and it's his bday on Wednesday, let's see what we get up to ;))

And then we did some other random partying, with lotsa nice people,
one of the nights portrayed led to the beach pics of Timo and Davide earlier, I believe ;-)
